While trying desperately to fall asleep this morning while there was still a possibility to at least get a little sleep I was wondering what the search engine results would be for “organize your life”. What works for me to answer such a question as this? Google of course!

There are a few on the list that do not interest me at all and a few I can’t wait to go back and dive into.

It’s Quiet-A List

- My blog has been quiet, I’ve been busy and or sick.
- When I say sick I mean this morning I felt like an elephant sat on my head and that someone tried to pull all my teeth in the middle of the night.
- Saturday my cousin got married. She looked very pretty, the food was good, but overall it was BORING.
- We made a 3rd trip to Pep Boys to deal with tires, I do not recommend them to anyone!
- Do you know the H1N1 vaccine can be administered in your nose?
- Our dog gets tangled up way too often and it’s annoying.
- I made dinner tonight and unknown to me the chicken was spoiled, despite the label having 2 more days on it. We ordered take out.
- My oldest step daughter has been spending the week with us, it’s been nice to have her around.
- I’m surprised I’m writing this, being sick has knocked blogging off of my radar.
- I feel like disinfecting everything. Today I washed sheets and blankets so I wouldn’t feel like I was sleeping with germs.
- My friend Christi is doing the Carb Addicts Diet, I have to admit she has peaked my interest.
- School pictures are far too expensive for what you get.
- It’s getting cold in a hurry here.
- I’m tired, being sick has kicked my booty.
- Husband is actually home this week…I like it!
- Starting college has just about come to a halt.
- Apple is looking into giving AT&T exclusive rights to the iphone…not cool!
- I’ve got nothing else, I want to go to bed…me, out.

Chia Obama

Last night 2 a.m. this morning when I should have been sleeping there the commercial popped up in all of it’s glory for Chia Obama. Just when you thought you weren’t going to get the opportunity to say what will they think of next, there comes the opportunity.
I’ve never been a Chia Pet or Chia Herb grower, but I’m pretty sure being able to grow your own president in the comfort of your home is probably a one of a kind experience.
Now don’t pick on me… I’m sure I’m a little late to the Chia Obama party, but now I know and I can embrace my symbol of Liberty, Opportunity, Prosperity and Hope. I have to admit I’m a little disappointed there are no other Chia Presidents, I mean regardless of political party affiliate wouldn’t an avid collector want to just round out their Chia collection with all 44 Presidents! Think of the profits that could be made if any of our previous presidents were bald or balding.
Now please excuse me while I go back to laughing hysterically.

Happy Yom Kippur
I’m not Jewish, nor do I celebrate Yom Kippur. The little bug has off of school today and I wanted to know if it were a specific holiday and my calendar shows Yom Kippur, so I doubt we are off for that reason but it still peaked my interest.
But from a little googling I now know Yom Kippur means Day of Atonement. It is a day set aside to “afflict the soul,” to atone for the sins of the past year. More info here or here.
This actually sounds like a pretty good day to observe.
Anywho moving on. Monday’s are typically not my favorite. 9 times out of 10 my husband leaves for his next trip on a Monday, in fact he just called and said his plane had landed. On the weekends I don’t do much cleaning, I stick to washing the laundry he will need for his next trip. So Monday’s are time to reflect on what I need to do around here.
Today I plan to spend time with my little bug. Eat Banana Nut muffins that will very likely (okay it just did) go down the wrong pipe and cause me to sit around and cough. Take out that bag of garbage that should have went out yesterday. And do the dishes, by hand, ya know, because I don’t have a dishwasher!

Thursday-13, College
- Once upon a time I decided to go to a business school. I was young, I was unfocused and life was throwing many, many curve balls. That year my grandma had a heart attack. (She takes meds, but she is okay now.) A lady didn’t see us and came out from a side road and totaled our car. Our house burn’t down. Facing autism with our daughter was becoming very obvious.
- Fast forward 5 years later, I’ve been a stay at home mom, but my daughter is out of the house for several hours with school during the day and my husband travels quite frequently. To be honest I’m getting a little bored and I have decided that college is for me.
- I want to go to college for me.
- I want to go to college to contribute to my family.
- I’m concerned about the financial aid portion of college.
- Estimated Family Contribution worries me.
- I want to start with a Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration and at some point focus on Project Management.
- If I can survive the Bachelors degree without hating school I’d like to just go on to get my Masters, because I’m afraid if I quit long enough to get a job, I won’t go back.
- I fully intend to go to an online college, I think it is the best fit for me and for my family.
- There is a lot of research to do as far as picking the right college for you, I’m still not 100% sure which one is the right one for me.
- If you request information online about a school 9/10 of them will call you, several times desperately during the day to try and sell you their school.
- When you tell one of the schools that you requested information from that you are not interested, they will continue to call.
- Love and support really is a blessing when you’re considering and traveling this portion of your life.

Random Thinker
I’m sure I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a random thinker. I can be talking about A and skip right to Z and instantly to G. I don’t know if all people are like that or if I just hum to my own tune but that is how it is. Some things I’m randomly thinking about…
- My aunt, she went into cardiac arrest today. From what I understand she actually died for 6 minutes, but they were able to revive her and she is now in intensive care.
- Cell phone minutes and the inconsiderate person who used the majority of them.
- That stupid a$$ shmuck.
- Money
- College, I’m looking at online colleges and I’m just stressed about the entire process.
- Christmas shopping.
- Free burritos at our local Chipotle tomorrow. (Don’t rush out to yours, not going to happen!)
- Buying another set of shelves to finish off my bedroom closet, it looks great already!
- My weight.
- Finishing fundraiser papers tonight.
- Homeroom Parent duties.
- The dog.
- My hubs coming home tomorrow.
- Cleaning.
- Making a grocery list.
- Poker Face by Lady GaGa…it was just on Gary Unmarried and is now stuck in my head.
- Grey’s Anatomy tomorrow!
- Car tires I keep putting off.
- Vacationing.
- Laundry.

Word____ Wednesday
Because I can just hear my daughter singing it now…(to the tune- oh, my darlin’ clementine.) Assuming I remember correctly.
What’s the weather today,
Is it Sunny…

Is it Cloudy…

Is it Rainy Today…

Is it Snowing…

Is it Blowing…(use your imagination on this one)

What’s the Weather, Today?!

Do Not Disturb Tuesday, “Spring” Cleaning

About a month ago LaDonna and I came up with Do Not Disturb Tuesday. Basically the idea is we stay away from the internet/computer except for where work or school would be concerned and focus on things we may be neglecting in the “real” world as a result on Tuesday’s.
I have to be totally honest, as much as I know I need to spend less time on the computer I’m ‘addicted’ and Tuesday’s have been hard for me. I’ve certainly had my fair share of failures where they are concerned. But today I plan to pick myself up and try, try again with some “Spring” Cleaning.
My list is close to 3 miles long and I’m not sure how much of it I will accomplish, but I certainly intend to put some effort into it.
Some of that list includes:
Cleaning neglected nooks and crannies.
Cleaning the fridge inside and out.
Fresh linens on all the beds (I do this weekly, but I’m writing it down anywho.)
I need to pay some bills so I can clean out my bank account.
I bought some shelving units for the inside of my closet and I’d like to get those put together and get the closet cleaned out and re-organized.
The list goes on, but you’re probably bored by now, so there ya have it!
